FREE KISSES (part 1)

Story — Introduction

colibri, colibri

how still you sit in the night sky

with the pale crescent moon

lighting your lustrous iridescent feathers

of many changing colors

the whirring trill

of your zoom through the air

brings a smile to the heart

and an uplifting wave of joy to the being

messages from beyond

we are so grateful to see, hear and feel you

with us always

Colibri zoomed down from their safe spot high up in the sky where they could see everything by the light of tonight’s waxing crescent moon, only a few days after the New Moon. It was a cool, dark night and from Colibri’s vantage point up in the sky, the moon, the mountains in the distance and the forest below could all be seen so clearly. As they entered the forests southeast of Agaville, a chilling sense of unease gripped them. They increased their speed, darting forward through the chill that lay in the air like a damp, heavy fog, heating up their body, joyfully spinning and running flips through the air until finally they cut through and happened upon a warm body.

Nataraj was running raggedly through the forest, as if being chased all night. They were huffing and puffing and yet, moving at quite a clip, desperate to make it forward, make it through. By the looks of their clothing, their sweaty, crusty furrowed brow and their gaunt appearance, one may not be wrong to assume Nataraj had been running for days. As for Colibri, they could sense Nataraj was a warrior of the highest order. They saw Nataraj’s entire past, present and future shining all around them like a kaleidoscopic technicolor multidimensional masterwork of lives upon lives, their aura bursting with vivid imagery, all the threads weaving together to tell a singular tale in an instant: the need of this present moment. Not just for Nataraj, but for all of existence, as seen through the soul of Nataraj, witnessed by Colibri.

As Colibri flew alongside Nataraj, Nataraj’s energy softened. The whirring and whizzing of Colibri’s wings flapping at close to 108 beats per second as they swiftly maneuvered through the trees sweeping left and right and around Nataraj to understand their entire essence brought a lightness to Nataraj’s heart and a smile to their face. Nataraj finally stopped running as Colibri floated nearby.
